Sara Besser Named Chief Accounting Officer at Boulay

Boulay is proud to announce that Sara Besser, CPA was recently promoted to Chief Accounting Officer. She transitioned to the position on August 1, 2023.

As the Chief Accounting Officer, Besser is responsible for monitoring Boulay’s financial health and directing the firm’s accounting, financial reporting and cash management. She provides oversight to budgets, forecasts and financial analyses. She also leads the implementation of consistent accounting policies, practices and procedures, upholding Federal, state and local legal standards. Besser is committed to providing Boulay team members with the information and resources they need to work effectively, thus investing in their success and creating a respectful, engaging and collaborative work environment.

Besser has been with Boulay since 1999. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Outside of work, Sara enjoys playing volleyball with Boulay’s intramural teams, watching her kids’ activities, going out to dinner with her family, and walking her dog.
