Kris Braaten Named Director of Business Intelligence at Boulay

Boulay is proud to announce that Kris Braaten, CPA was recently promoted to Director of Business Intelligence. He transitioned to the newly created position on August 1, 2023.

As the Director of Business Intelligence, Braaten is responsible for leading Boulay’s Business Intelligence team, which supports firm leadership with data analyses and insights to assist in enhanced decision-making and operational efficiencies. He collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their needs and continually assess how the Business Intelligence team can implement solutions that meet those needs. He also provides oversight to budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and resource management processes to ensure alignment with Boulay’s strategic direction. Braaten is committed to empowering Boulay team members with the insights, solutions and resources they need to work effectively, thus investing in their success and creating an engaging and collaborative work environment.

Braaten has been with Boulay since 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Concordia College and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Braaten is a member of the Studio/E Exploratory Leadership Program, Boulay’s B-Volve Innovation Group, and has served as the Board President and Treasurer for Oasis for Youth.

Outside of work, Kris enjoys playing volleyball with Boulay’s intramural teams, traveling (Nice, France being his favorite destination so far), cooking and glassblowing.
