Elder Law is a specialized area of legal practice focused on the needs of aging individuals and their families. It encompasses estate planning, government benefits, long-term care, and family advocacy, requiring attorneys who understand both the legal framework and the practical realities families face when planning for aging and care needs.
Elder Law planning often includes establishing estate documents, preparing for long-term care in a way that helps minimize avoidable financial strain, and navigating Medical Assistance eligibility while preserving assets whenever possible.
To support this expanded service offering, Kremer Law is also pleased to welcome Kate Eidem, Esq. to the firm. Kate earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School and is licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She focuses her practice on Elder Law, advising clients on Medicaid eligibility and benefits, long-term care planning, and asset protection strategies such as Medicaid-compliant annuities.
For Kate, this work is more than a profession – it is a calling. She considers it a privilege to stand alongside clients during their most vulnerable transitions, whether navigating chronic illness, aging, or end-of-life planning. By prioritizing high-touch service and clear, responsive communication, Kate ensures that the families who trust her with their legacies never have to face these hurdles alone.
