Boulay is proud to announce that Dan Markowitz, CPA, Partner, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO). His three-year term as a director will begin on April 1, 2023.
“I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to serve on the NCEO Board,” said Markowitz. “Serving employee-owned organizations, and especially ESOPs, has become the focus of my work over the past 12 years. I am proud to be able to continue this work while contributing to the NCEO’s mission.”
Markowitz has led the Firm’s ESOP practice since becoming a partner in 2015. He provides audit and other financial reporting services for public, private and ESOP-owned clients in a variety of industries. Markowitz is passionate about the benefits of employee ownership and believes ESOPs play a powerful role in closing the wealth gap in the United States. He is also committed to providing comprehensive education and service to new and existing ESOP companies.
As a member of the NCEO’s board, Markowitz aims to continue to find ways to increase the number of companies that transition from private to ESOP ownership, while counteracting misinformation about ESOPs.
