Boulay recently hired Mike Kopesky, CPA as a new Audit Partner. He joins Boulay with more than 20 years of audit, tax, and advisory services for both public and private companies.
Mike specializes in financial strategy, tax planning, process optimization, and guiding organizations through growth, change, and complexity. Throughout his career, Mike has helped clients navigate mergers and acquisitions, complex transactions, regulatory matters, and tax compliance. His expertise lies in improving business value through innovative tax strategies, operational efficiencies, and data-driven decision-making. Mike is known for leading cross-functional teams, resolving complex financial challenges, and delivering measurable results in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Before joining Boulay, Mike spent two decades at a Big Four accounting firm, where he advised public companies and privately held businesses on audit, financial transformation, and strategic tax planning.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of St. Thomas and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He participates in both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, golfing and playing hockey.
