Mike Laier

Mike joined Boulay as a partner in 2023 with over 12 years of professional accounting experience. As the leader of Boulay’s private equity and search fund tax team, Mike provides tax consulting and compliance services to entities taxed as partnerships. He focuses on complex planning and compliance issues related to entity formations, sales, mergers, and reorganization transactions. Mike serves clients in a wide range of industries, and has significant experience with manufacturing, construction and private equity companies. He strives to educate clients on the complex issues that occur in partnership tax, to enhance their understanding and work collaboratively to find the right solutions. Prior to joining Boulay, Mike served as the Great Lakes practice lead for the Pass-Through Consulting Services Group of a large national public accounting firm.
