Matthew Delaney
Matt joined Boulay in 2023 and was named partner in 2026. He has more than a decade of experience in guiding successful individuals, families and business owners through complex financial decisions and significant life transitions. He specializes in helping privately held business owners prepare for and execute owner transitions, whether through family succession, management buyouts or external sales, while aligning personal, financial and legacy goals. Matt’s purpose-driven approach to planning integrates investment strategy, tax planning, estate and wealth transfer considerations, liquidity planning and business succession decisions into a cohesive strategy. His thoughtful, strategic approach helps clients navigate complexity, make informed decisions and move forward with confidence. Matt is passionate about helping clients define their priorities and align their financial decisions to support those goals, whether focused on family, business interests, charitable giving or long-term legacy planning.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family at the cabin in Hayward, Wisconsin, and staying active outdoors.
