Michael Schaefer

Michael joined Boulay in 2008 and was named partner in 2025. He specializes in providing assurance and accounting services to both public and privately held clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, SaaS companies, and employee benefit plans. He has a wide range of technical expertise to assist clients in accounting matters and internal controls. Michael is a Certified Fraud Examiner, assisting with various litigation and forensic accounting matters. He also possesses the Accredited in Business Valuation designation and provides fair market value and fair value assessments for businesses in multiple industries. Michael resides in Lafayette, Louisiana.
