John Howe

John joined Boulay in 2025 as a Transaction Advisory Manager, bringing more than 15 years of experience in accounting, finance, and strategic advisory. In his role, John specializes in client-focused work across complex financial transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs. He also provides audit support and in-depth financial analysis to help clients make confident, data-driven decisions. John’s areas of expertise include financial reporting and close support, process automation, revenue recognition, lease accounting (ASC 842), and international consolidations and eliminations. His current focus spans both public and private companies, particularly in the SaaS sector, with an emphasis on acquisitions and carve-outs. Prior to joining Boulay, John was a key member of the controllership team at a local firm, where he led accounting operations through periods of significant transformation. Known for his technology-driven mindset, he has a proven ability to streamline workflows through automation and translate large, complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
